It’s finally (almost) here. Morbidly Curious releases one week from today on Tuesday, October 7th. There’s still time to get your pre-order in and take advantage of the three free months of Substack offer on all pre-orders.
I’ve been doing daily press interviews for the past week or so and have several planned all across the month of October, including some very exciting live interviews in LA. More on that below.
I’m taking the book on the road starting October 7th at The 1886 Crescent Hotel. I thought it only appropriate to begin my book tour where the book begins in Chapter 1: at America’s Most Haunted Hotel.
After that, you can catch me just outside of Charlotte, NC (Fred and June’s Books), Savannah, GA (Graveface Museum), Winston-Salem, NC (B&N), Memphis (Novel), Rogers, AR (with Clay McLeod Chapman at Underbrush Books), Bentonville, AR (Blake St. House), and Lexington, KY (Scarefest Weekend).
Then I’ll be back in Eureka for a week for the Zombie Apocalypse Medicine Meeting, the Nightmare in the Ozarks Film Festival, and Eureka Springs Zombie Crawl.
On Oct 26, I’ll be heading to Los Angeles for a few days. I’ll be giving a public talk at the Orange County Library in Foothill Ranch, CA. Following this, I’ll be recording a few interviews, starting with Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard and NPR’s All Things Considered. I’ll be rounding out the LA trip with a talk at the home of horror: Blumhouse Productions.
Unless I get a live, national TV spot, I’ll be back in Eureka Springs for Halloween, because it’s something you really shouldn’t miss.
I’ll be heading out the next morning and going to Chicago for the week, where I’ll do a show with comedian Shane Mauss at Chicago’s IO Theatre. I’ll then head over to Ghoulish Mortals in St. Charles, IL on Nov 2, followed by Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville on Nov 3. One of my favorite venues will be on Nov 4 at the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago. I’ll then head to my alma mater UChicago for a talk on Nov 6th at Seminary Co-Op Bookstore.
I’ll then head to NYC on Nov 12 for a talk at the amazing new horror bookstore, The Twisted Spine. Finally, my tour will end with a Keynote lecture at Oklahoma City Community College for Scholar’s Day.
Thanks again to everyone who has pre-ordered the book. I hope I’ll see some of you on the tour!
